Powder espresso cleaner for backflushing espresso machines equipment and soaking portafilts. Half a teaspoon for a backflush with the blank filter basket to free your groups of coffee oils. One teaspoon in hot water and then soak portafilts and baskets to
Puly caff cleaning powder, tub of 900g of backflush detergent for use with traditional espresso machines brew groups and group handles.
Dusty Caff is the OEM name for Puly Caff Espresso Machine cleaning Powder (1x900g) for group handles and back flushing groups. Same manufacturer as Puly caff, same product, different name. Still great value, still makes any coffee equipment sparkle. For accurate dosing why not purchase the Pallo Coffee tool which incorporates a powder dosing spoon.
For commercial users the suggested backflush period is once every week. Half a teaspoon of powder should be used in the backflush plate after it has been inserted into the group handle. Insert the handle into the group as if making coffee and run the group for 10 seconds. Remove the handle and run the group to rinse the remaining foam out of the blankplate. Backflush as normal at least six times, repeating the normal routine of inserting the group handle, running the group for 10 seconds, removing the handle and tipping out any water in it.
Group handles (portafilts) should also be seperated from the internal filter baskets and all soaked in a solution of 1 teaspoon powder and hot water. Keep the rubber handles of the portafilts out of the solution or the cleaner will eat into them.
A solution of 1 teaspoon powder and 1 litre hot water can be poured down your espresso machines drip tray to keep the waste hose clean and stop it blocking up.
